The Bear at Hungerford – sparkly red shoes and a hand-made wedding dress

Back in June I photographed the wedding of the fabulous Ashley and Dominic at The Bear in Hungerford.

From the outset I knew that this was going to be such a special day, with the bride making her own dress, home-made liqueurs as wedding favours and a naked cake and it didn’t disappoint. From the sparkly red shoes to the bridesmaids petticoats there was so much to photograph that Dominic had to tell me to go home!

Ashley and the girls got ready in the Elizabeth I room at the hotel, a room filled with light and giggles all morning!

Ashley made her own dress and it was truly stunning.

The girls had been up very late the night before putting up flowers and decorations, but I think you will agree it was worth all the effort.

I saw this spot just as Ashley was coming down from getting ready. She only stopped there briefly, just long enough to get this shot.

Meanwhile, Dom was looking far too relaxed!

That moment during the group shots when you sense the younger bridesmaids are getting a little restless, so you tell them to pull a funny face…

I just can’t get enough of the shoes…

A little quite time, away from the guests, just to enjoy the fact that they are married 😀

The girls also decorated the archway in the garden with beautiful flowers…

and Mum provided a parasol, which we just had to make use of…

When the sky looks like this you just have to say, “Quick, come with me!”
