Earlier in the summer I had the pleasure of photographing Abbie and Pete’s beautiful wedding at Silchester House in Hampshire. I met up with the girls at the hairdresser in Woodcote where the champagne was already flowing. They got dressed in the beautiful bedrooms at Silchester House then headed off to Highclere church for the ceremony. Pete works for a company that hires out sports cars, so their wedding cars really were something special and his boss had arranged personalised license plates for them as a surprise.
The rain held off long enough for the bride and groom and their guests to emerge from the church, throw some confetti and mingle. Unfortunately the heavens opened again shortly after we arrived back at Silchester House, so the group shots had to be moved inside. Fortunately the venue has a lovely, large room with bags of natural light so we were able to carry on with all of the group shots. Flowers were supplied by the lovely folks at Ashley Blooms.
The big surprise came after the wedding breakfast when the singing waiters appeared and burst into song! They soon had the whole marquee on their feet singing and dancing along. After the speeches we made the most of the late sunshine to catch some outdoor portraits before the waiters appeared again as the band to which the wedding party danced the night away.
A beautiful bride and groom in a stunning location – I love my job 😀
