Jo and Chris had a magician for their wedding – he kept the guests well entertained while we slipped off for the fabulous shots on the bridge, but he saved a couple of tricks for the bride and groom at their table.
I love working with magicians, as you get such wonderful, natural reaction shots.
In keeping with the music festival theme, their seating plan and table decorations used records….
and all the guests had wristbands to wear.
As well as this all the men had a personalised bottle of beer instead of wedding favours, with one notable exception…
I do love emotional speeches, and Jo and Chris’s day had plenty of those – is it wrong that I get so happy when I see people crying??
Almost a personal record 😉
There was lots of laughter as well …
I always like to do some evening shots as I think it tells part of the story of the day and provides a nice close to a wedding book. Jo was keen to make use of the gorgeous rooms and the entrance to The Elephant for these
I was relieved not to get run over getting the next shot!
Meanwhile an impromptu game of limbo had broken out in the garden. I love these wacky, spontaneous events that occur at chilled out weddings…
especially when the children show the grown ups how it’s done!
This gorgeous little cutie gave me the run around all day, not wanting to have her picture taken, but eventually she agreed to let me get some…
As the light faded, the dancing started. Bride and groom first, of course..
but soon everyone else was strutting their funky stuff.
Not content with fabulous wedding shoes from Irregular Choice Jo and Chris also had custom converse made to dance in. When the DJ insisted I had to take a picture of them on the turntable, who was I to argue? 😉
Thank you for popping by. Don’t forget to leave some love in the comments. Would you have custom converse for your wedding, or are you a more irregular choice kind of bride?
