Last month I met Liz and Phil at The New Mill in Eversley for an engagement shoot. This is the venue for their wedding next month so it was an opportunity for us to get to know the venue as well as each other a little better and to get some great photographs of them before their big day. The weather was not kind – raining and dark and in such an old building I was a little concerned about how we would get on for light. In the end we had lots of fun and got some great pictures, in places we would not have explored had the weather been better. It just shows that you can get beautiful pictures even in difficult conditions with a little planning and experimentation.
Liz and Phil were great subjects. Despite assuring me that they hated having their photograph taken, they really rose to the occasion and I think they actually enjoyed the attention. I am really looking forward to their wedding day when we will have the run of this fantastic venue for the whole day and everyone will be looking even more splendid.
