This week I met up with Heather and Tim at their home in Yattendon to get some photographs with them and their dogs prior to their wedding in June. As they met through the local gun dog club, their pointers are understandably important to them. They will be in attendance at their wedding ceremony (the Reverends’ dog is usually in church every Sunday so they are well used to four-legged visitors) but they will not be able to join in the celebrations later on. Heather and Tim spend a lot of their time outdoors and we wanted to reflect this side of their lives in a way that won’t really be possible on their wedding day.
So we met up on a beautiful Spring evening to take a walk through the stunning Yattendon estate. The dogs were really good fun to be around (I had to keep reminding myself that I was there to take pictures of their owners!) and their dove even put on a little display for us when we got back to the house. I was particularly grateful to Hansel for pointing out all the brambles on our route The shoot also provided me with an opportunity to get to know the dogs (and their owners) a little better – as they will be about in the house on the morning of the wedding it is good to know that they will welcome me as a friend (although they might try to get in every shot!)
Here are my favourites, there are, as ever, more on my website.
