Back in May I photographed the wedding of Rachel and Victoria at The Elephant in Pangbourne. Both girls got ready in the hotel so I could get photographs of both sets of preparations, another enjoyable first for me. The theme for the day was birds, with bird hair pins, table decorations, punched paper confetti made from manuscript paper, a bird cage for the guests to leave cards…
Each bride walked in with their Dads, but I love this shot of Victoria waiting for Rachel to join her.
The stunning flowers were provided by Green Parlour, also in Pangbourne. I am not a fan of gypsophylia, but I adore the simplicity of this bridesmaid bouquet.
The brides shopped together for their dresses and both chose pieces from the latest Monsoon collection. They then had headpieces made to match each dress, Rachel’s also included a beautiful bird cage veil.
I always love to get character shots at weddings, the older and younger guests are usually most obliging….
Naturally speeches always provide plenty of photo opportunities. This time, “Virtual Victoria” provided the entertainment!
I may have already mentioned the wisteria in a previous post…
I love personalised cake toppers and these are particularly gorgeous. Add in a cheese cake as well and the evening is just complete….
Victoria may have previously mentioned that many of her friends are from her old rugby team and that they *might* be up for a shot or two…
And as for those paper birds, what can I say?
